Fitness motivation is something that can fizzle out fast and fade away during the winter months. Therefore, if you want to maintain your fitness resolution, you have to get tough, and be tough to make sure that they happen. How do you do this? First of all, get your mindset in place, and keep it on despite the immense cold that is outside your doors. Don’t let the cold keep you inside or from doing what you need to do!
Define what your goal is to you – It doesn’t matter if you are goal is to get healthier, to lose weight, get abs, climb the highest mountain, or whatever else. Fitness must play a part in your New Year to make into a reality. Pick your specific goal and write it down. Make sure to view it every day, and create small milestones and deadlines to get to the big goal.
Set rewards for yourself! Treat yo’ self, as Donna from Parks and Rec would say! When you reach your small milestones, give yourself a reward. Buy that favorite shirt you’ve been eyeing or get those new shoes you’ve been researching.
Make a realistic fitness resolution – It’s true that no dream is too big. If you can dream it, you can do it, simple as that. However, don’t make fitness goals way to big to achieve, set realistic ones that are attainable and not far out there. They are within your reach!
